Large Quantity of Country Liquor and Mahua Wash Seized, One Arrested

As per the instructions of Mayurbhanj Excise Superintendent Prashant Kahar and under the direct supervision of Baripada Excise Deputy Superintendent Tapaswini Nayak, a special team was formed. The team was led by Baripada Sadar Excise Station Officer-in-Charge Prahallad Samal, along with Deuli Excise Station Officer-in-Charge Prakash Chandra Sahoo and Baripada Sadar Excise staff members Debaraj Sahoo, Savita Mahant, Hemant Kumar Patra, Sanjeev Kumar Mahapatra, among others.
The team conducted a raid at Gobardhanashola village under Baripada Sadar Police Station. During the raid, 60 liters of country-made cooked liquor and 1,050 liters of mahua wash were seized. Basantri Dehuri (20) of Gobardhanashola village was arrested and forwarded to court.
Regarding this incident, a case has been registered by the Baripada Sadar Excise Station under Section 179/25
